Due to the new Euro 4 exhaust emission standards as well as the stricter noise emission regulations, a new HP sports muffler as well as a new HP titanium exhaust system are being offered as accessories for the 2017-on S1000RR. The following changes result compared to the predecessor versions:
-Emissions control: emissions control is significantly improved using suitable model-specific measures in order to comply with more stringent exhaust emission standards.
-Sound: rich sound at a reduced volume; the sports mufflers thus comply with the more stringent regulations regarding noise emission (the limit values have been reduced by approx. 2 to 3 dB(A) depending on the vehicle segment with regulation UNECE-R41.04.)
-Design and weight: the technical changes effect both the shape and weight of the sports muffler.
-Most importantly, this has NO effect on power or torque
