Does not work... Tuirns RED as soon as it is plugged in and the charger is turned on

the product is fine, but had I know that you can't charge the bikes battery from the power port, I wouldn't have purchased it. WTF BMW!!?! Can't charge the battery without REMOVING IT??? That is absurd.

I use the same tender on my Harley and it works fine. I use the tender on the pigtail and it works, I use the new pigtail and plug it in to my GTL and it flashes and never charges.
