This is the male plug that goes into the piece of wiring harness that by bypasses the Can-bus system that provides about 10W of power for GPS, etc that will not activate a warning light. The dealerships all know about it and it is what they use when they hookup your GPS or whatever you pay the dealer to do. The female plug is under the tank zip tied to the frame somewhere. Ask the dealer to show it to you. I used it for the BMW R1200 and RnineT.
Ordered this hard wire a Garmin Sumo XT2 to my BMW R1250 RT. Fit just as it should.
Worked well, plugged into the factory wiring. No error codes
